Do you know how big the average human stomach is? Well, it is smaller than Starbucks' newest drink size.
The "Trenta" is 325 mL larger than the "Venti" size and comes in at a total of 31-ounces and 916 mL. In an illustration by the National Post it compared the existing sizes of Starbucks cups as well as the new size, an average soda can and an adult human stomach. The graphic shows that the human stomach can hold an average of 900 mL (maximum volume is between 2,000 - 4,000 mL), 16 ounces less than Starbucks' new drink size.
The Trenta will be available only for iced coffee, iced tea and iced tea lemonade drinks in the U.S., and will cost 50 cents more than similar Venti-sized iced drinks.
